Welcome to Cascadia 2024!
We are back at Burnaby Lake and .… wait for it …. Cascadia is turning 15!! We are super excited to share this special year with you!
Construction at the venue has continued while we were away, with further improvements on what you saw last summer. There is a beautiful walkway leading to the dramatic new deck which has an absolutely unobstructed view of the race course and lots of space to spread out.
Much like last year, racing will consist of time trials as well as standard handicapped category racing. Take your pick or race in both! The Club and Composite Relay is also back with a cash purse, and of course, we will be offering Para, Novice and the Family Double events, too.
We are expecting record attendance, and in support of Rowing British Columbia the BC Summer Games will run in conjunction with our event. It will be very busy at the lake and our event schedule will be action packed. Young and mature energies coming together in celebration of our amazing sport! We can't wait to see you all in July!

Parking
All regatta participants must park in the parking lot off Sperling Street and walk to the venue via the path at the North East corner of the lot (see the Venue Map link above). Our parking attendants will be on-site and the path will be well marked. Please park the cars in an orderly fashion to maximize capacity, as we expect parking to be snug.
Accommodation
The Accent Inn, Burnaby has been a favourite with our participants. It is a short 10 minute drive to Burnaby Lake and offers free parking. Additionally, the Skytrain is located one block from the hotel. Rooms at these special rates are limited - booking early is recommended.

Located in central Burnaby, the Executive Hotels & Resorts is close to transit and only a short drive to popular tourist attractions. The Executive Suites Hotel is a full service, all suite hotel.
All of the newly upgraded suites are equipped with a fridge, microwave and sink for the convenience of our guests, but an on-site restaurant is available for dining out or room service.

The Element Vancouver Metrotown is just 20 minutes from Burnaby Lake and just steps from grocery stores, restaurants, and Metropolis shopping mall. A complementary daily buffet breakfast. A fitness room, saline pool and bike lending program are available. A block of rooms at special rates is reserved for Cascadia participants.
